The registered dietitians at The Human Element believe that every client deserves the same level of nutritional evaluation as an elite athlete or critically ill patient. That means that all nutritional assesments are performed using an average of multiple equations and all calorie requirements are based on your lean body mass to more accurately reflect your specific requirements. Are you trying to be the best athlete you can be while dealing with disordered eating or are you a compulsive over exerciser trying to burn off what you perceive to be excess calories. The Human Element works with several counseling groups in the Harrisburg / Carlisle / Shippensburg area. Ask your therapist for referral information. As your personal nutritional coach, we will provide:
  • An individualized nutrition plan based on your specific body composition, height, weight, age, and gender.
  • Food programs that focus on realistic servings of food and portion sizes and not calorie or gram counting
  • pre– and post– exercise to optimized performance and recovery.
  • Sensitivity to weight and body composition monitoring. If you don't want to know your weight, we won't provide that information.
Our goal is to keep you exercising or participating in the activities you love while you work through the disordered eating issues with your therapist.
